Three days of free eye examinations, prescribed glasses, health screening and mosquito nets, held to mark World Sight Day.
Every October, to mark World Sight Day, we open a free clinic for three days. Anyone can come.
What is available
A full eye examination, with prescribed glasses and medicines dispensed on the day. Screening for blood sugar, hepatitis B and C, HIV and malaria. A mosquito net for every person seen. Where someone needs care we cannot provide at the clinic, we refer them on and follow up.
What it costs to attend
Nothing. There is no fee for any part of it, and no one is turned away.
Supporting it
The outreach runs on donated time and funded supplies. Glasses, medicines, test kits and nets are the bulk of the cost, and they are bought in advance of the three days.
