How we report our numbers
Every claim on this website carries a number, and every number on this page carries the period it was measured over. Where we cannot say when a figure was counted, we do not print it.
We hold supporting records for the figures below: outreach registers, clinical notes, and receipts for treatment we funded. Those documents are not published here. They name identifiable people, frequently in a medical context, and publishing them would breach both the confidence those people placed in us and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. They are available to funders and auditors on request, in redacted form where necessary.
We would rather publish four numbers we can stand behind than forty we cannot.
